3ROC News 16th December 2014
Well, Happy Christmas everyone!
Let’s hope you’re all coming to the annual Christmas Score Event on Three Rock on St Stephen’s Day, December 26th, either to run or to help, or both.
Please note that start times are 10.30 to 12.00. There will be a long (50 minute) and a short (35 minute) score event, where you visit as many controls as you can in any order within the time allowed. Maps will be premarked and on waterproof paper, at least for the first hundred and something competitors.
This event is always a great chance to catch up with old friends and work off a few calories at the same time.
John McCullough is organising and he’s looking for volunteers to help. We’ll have the usual refreshments at the finish so it’s a great day out for the whole family. Courses will close at 1 pm and controls will be removed then so we should be gone by 2 pm.
If you can help, please e-mail 3rockoc@gmail.com and offer.
After that, our next event is in the Phoenix Park on Saturday night, 10th January, the first Dublin by Night event of 2015. More details later.
Incidentally, there’s been an unofficial 3ROC Christmas Run on Three Rock Mountain every Christmas Day since about 1977 and we’ll be there this year too, meeting at about 11.00. If you’d like to join us, e-mail 3rockoc@gmail.com for final details. See you there!
