Christmas Score Event – December 26th

Happy Christmas everyone! We hope to see you all at our annual Christmas score event at Three Rock Wood, Ticknock, on St Stephen’s Day!

Start times are 10.30 to 12.00 midday;  courses close 1 pm. It’s a “score” event – there will be 60 minutes to visit as many controls as you can, with a penalty if you are over time, so it’s important to bring a watch (30 minutes for juniors if they want to do a shorter course). You can visit the controls in any order – you decide. Usually the further away controls are worth more points than the nearer ones, but again, you decide which ones you should visit.   There’s also a bonus of 50 points if you go in fancy dress!

We’ll be using SportIdent timing for the event so bring your SI card if you have one.  (SI cards will of course be available to rent at the event). There’ll be extra points for fancy dress, we’ll have hot drinks at the finish, so come along and meet up with friends. Here’s a map to find the area.

We’re starting early since the area can get very busy with walkers and mountain bikes.

Afterwards you can adjourn to the Lamb Doyle’s unless you’re going to the racing in Leopardstown.
