This week’s activity …
CNOC’s third Tuesday evening event is at Hill Wood, Monasterevan, part of the estate once owned by Count John McCormack – a nice forest for a run, but it does get dark and gloomy later in the evening. Details here. Note: there is no Tuesday evening event next week.
On Wednesday we have rescheduled our OCAD training evening for club members in Mount Merrion. OCAD is used for making maps, for printing them and for overprinting courses – it’s important to be familioar with it if you ever intend to plan a competition, update maps, control events or plan training exercises. In fact anyone interested in the background to orienteering would benefit from knowing about it. See the OCAD home page here.
To book a place, contact 3ROC using the panel just there on the right … That’s it! Where it says “Get in touch with us here” …
Well done to the 3ROC team who ran the Wicklow Way Relay last Saturday: it was a fantastic day for the race and we broke the 10-hour barrier! Well done Eoin, John McG, Emma, Christian, Colm, Martin, Ger and Lindie.
Congratulations also to Eoin McCullough who has been selected to run in the Junior World Championships in the Czech Republin in June.
Finally, good luck and have an enjoyable weekend to the 20 3ROC members entered in the Shamrock O-Ringen in Kerry. Follow the event here.
