This wekend’s orienteering

Fingal are running their second “scatter” event at Newbridge House, Donabate, Co. Dublin with a mass start at 12.00 on Sunday. Their scatter events involve finding a set number of controls in any order and getting back as soon as possible.

Remember that the Connacht Championships are on September 15th at Ballymahon, Co. Longford: entries are closing today (September 6th) and there event is actually in danger of being postponed as entries are so low. Details here.

Preparations are going ahead for our Leinster Autumn Series event at Carlingford on Sunday September 29th. Planner Ger Butler, Controller Ivan Millar (LVO), Organiser John McCullough. Please volunteer to help as we’re incorporating the Senior Home International in the event, plus the LVO Club Championships.

Good luck next weekend to Cian May and Cliona McCullough, our two members on the Junior Home International team travelling to south Wales for the JHI on 14th/15th September.

Watch out for a double header in October: Northern Ireland Championships on Saturday 12th iat Meelmore in the Mournes, and the Welsh Championships at Newborough on Anglesay on Sunday 13th.
