September sees the start of the new O-season, with local events in Dublin parks run by Fingal Orienteers and the first Leinster League event at Mullaghmeen, Co. Westmeath, on 27th September.
Our first event is the League event at Ballyedmonduff on 11th October. The event parking will be near Johnnie Fox’s pub in Glencullen, but check the event details closer to the time.
Well done to the 3ROC runners selected for the three Home Internationals: Colm Moran, Eoin & Clíona McCullough (Senior Home International, Yorkshire, 19-20 September), John McCullough (VHI, Wales, 3-4 October) and Eoin Riordan, Aidan McCullough and Clodagh Moran (JHI, Co. Derry, 24-25 October).
Weekday evening fitness training has resumed at Belfield on Monday and Thursday evenings.
We are ordering new O-suits from Siven. Contact Lindie to place an order. Tops €20 (adult), €10 (junior).
We are gearing up for the 2016 Leinster Championships on April 17th at Carrick Mountain, Glenealy, Co. Wicklow. Carrick is out of bounds to orienteers until the event. Entries will open in January.
