Orienteering instruction on Saturday 22nd February
Join us at Three Rock Wood, Ticknock, for navigation training on Saturday. At 11 o’clock we’ll be there to show you how to tackle map reading and other orienteering skills which will help you get more enjoyment from orienteering (and hopefully stop you getting lost so often for so long!)
The session will be tailored to suit the needs of whoever comes, whether you’ve never tried orienteering before or whether you’re self-taught and want to improve. If you want to know how to use a compass, we’ll show you; if you want to find out how to plan a route to the next control, we’ll show you that too …
It would help us if we know who was coming so we can have maps etc ready, so if you can, e-mail us at 3rockoc@gmail.com and let us know if you plan to come. There’s no obligation and it’s completely free! We aim to finish by 1 o’clock (The Ireland v England rugby match isn’t until 4 pm).
See the location map here. and the orienteering map here.
