3ROC News – 19th January 2015
The night-O season is in full swing with Setanta’s “Dublin by Night” event on Saturday 24th at Ballinascorney, above Bohernabreena. The planned UCDO event at Deerpark last Saturday failed to materialise due to access problems but UCD are confident that the event can go ahead on a new date before too long. Details of the Ballinascorney event are here.
A record number of runners at our Phoenix Park night event on January 10th meant that we ran out of Short course maps: if we had to recycle yours, please ask at this Saturday’s event and you can have a new map with our thanks, or e-mail 3rockoc@gmail.com and we’ll send you one electronically.
CNOC are starting off the daytime orienteering season at Donadea, near Clane, Co. Kildare, on Sunday 25th. It’s a lovely forest for a run or walk and there’s often a coffee shop open on site (also sells hot chocolate). There are three courses from 2.5 to 7.6 km. See details here.
The next night events are at Bushy Park, Terenure on January 31st and Glendoo on the Featherbeds on February 7th.
