Orienteering – October 19/20

Well done to the 3ROC prizewinners at Saturday’s Northern Ireland Championships:  First place for Colm Moran (M21E), Mary O’Connell (W50),  Monica Nowlan (W65), Frank Martindate (M75), and Vera Murtagh (W70).

A busy weekend on the 19th/20th: CNOC are running a Leinster Autumn Series event on the Curragh,  Co. Kildare on Sunday, though the location isn’t yet on the IOA fixtures list (a scoop for 3ROC!).

Further afield there are three events in Waterford: a sprint on the WIT campus in Waterford city on Saturday, followed by a night event on the dunes at Tramore, then on Sunday a Munster League event at Mahon Falls in the Comeraghs. See here for details.

Evidently the WIT sprint race is the first of a series of Campus-sprints like last year’s excellent series, but there’s no mention on the IOA fixtures list of any others …

Further north there’s an NI Series event at Binevenagh, near Limavady in Co. Derry on Saturday. See here for details.
